Product description
The town of Lynchburg, home to Jack Daniel's Distillery, has been in the grips of Prohibition for more than a century, although in 1892 there were two bars for every 300 residents.
In the same year, Jack Daniel opened his Red Dog Saloon, or Bar pod Rudym Psiskiem, on the city market. Jack was inspired by Nashville and its crowded and loud saloons and bars, and he also believed that from a business perspective, the presence of a bar at the headquarters of his distillery made great sense because it would increase the consumption of Jack Daniel's whiskey. Jack owned two bars, the rather elegant White Rabbit Saloon and the much more "homely" Red Dog Saloon. The latter, always full of customers, was full of life and music. Both bars were also important meeting places for the local community. In September 2017, Brown-Forman Corporation, the owner of Jack Daniel's, offered an anniversary edition to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the opening of the Red Dog Saloon. This whiskey has all the characteristic features of the Jack Daniel's brand, and the alcohol content increased to 43% makes it even more distinctive.
