Product description
Knockando Distillery is situated on the River Spey in the village with which it shares its name. It was built in 1898 by John Thompson and is now owned by Diageo.
In 1969, the plant underwent modernization, as a result of which its production capacity was doubled to 1.4 million liters of distillate per year. Annual sales of Knockando single malt amount to over 600 thousand bottles per year, it is most popular in Spain, France and Italy. However, the lion's share of production is "consumed" by J&B blends, Knockando is a key ingredient of the original J&B Rare formula from the 1930s. The 12-year-old version presented here, made from distillates aged in barrels of white American oak, is a great introduction to discovering the secrets of Speyside.
