Product description
In 2007, Bowmore Distillery introduced new label designs and also changed its sales offering.
Dusk and Dawn have become obsolete, 17 years old was designated for the Travel Retail chain, and 18 years old has been added to the basic offer. This is an excellent single malt, a blend of distillates aged in bourbon and sherry casks, described by the owners as "one of the rarest and most extraordinary whiskies; stocks of 18-year-old distillates are unfortunately limited, but the joy of tasting them knows no bounds". The edition presented here comes from 2017, when the label design was slightly changed without interfering with the whisky formula.
Aroma : mild, breath of the earth after rain, delicate peat smoke, dried plums and apricots, cocoa, light notes of oak and sherry and a pinch of salt.
Palate: elegant and complex, slightly peaty, plum jam, raisins, dark chocolate, maple syrup, walnuts and a bit of oak.
Finish: quite long, with notes of bitter oranges, dried plums and dark chocolate wrapped in peat smoke.
