Product description
In the mid-1990s, Bowmore Distillery introduced several super-premium editions presented in very attractive ceramic bottles.
The oldest of them was the 30 year old, called "Sea Dragon", whose bottle and box were decorated with an image of the mythical dragon Kranna Dubh. According to legend, a stone thrown into Loch Indaal by the local hero Fingal awakened the beast, which crawled ashore near the village of Bowmore. Fingal, using a magic sword, defeated the dragon, which disappeared forever into the waters of the bay. Today, the "Sea Dragon" edition is often called "mythical whisky" and attracts the attention of collectors. It is made entirely of distillates from the 1960s, considered to be the best in the long history of Bowmore Distillery.
