Glenturret has been producing whisky since 1775, making it Scotland's oldest distillery.
Since 2002, Glenturret has also been the spiritual home of The Famous Grouse Experience, visited by over 100,000 tourists each year. Famous Grouse is the most popular whisky in its native Scotland, with global sales exceeding 3 million cases per year. Since 2019, Glenturret Distillery has been owned by the joint venture Glenturret Holding, in which Lalique Company and Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss own equal shares. Glenturret Sherry Edition debuted in 2014. A year later, the alcohol content was increased from 40% to 43% abv.
Aroma: barley malt, pears, apples, gooseberries, vanilla, milk chocolate, roasted nuts and almonds and a fleeting note of sulfur.
Palate : sweet, caramel, honey, raisins, baked apples, nectarines, orange peel, a mixture of dry herbs, notes of candied ginger and tobacco.
Finish: medium long, with notes of milk chocolate, brown sugar, dried fruit, white pepper and a trace of mint.
