Product description
Glengoyne is a picturesque distillery located on the conventional border separating the Highlands and Lowlands.
The distillery buildings are on the ‘upland’ side, while the warehouses are on the lowland side, which is why we can classify the whisky as ‘inter-regional’. The distillery is about 12 miles north of Glasgow and is visited by over 60,000 whisky lovers each year. Traditionally, Glengoyne single malt is distilled from air-dried barley, without the slightest trace of peat, and the current owners, Ian Macleod, maintain this profile. The Vintage Reserve edition presented here was distilled on 16th July 1969 and most likely bottled in 1996. The edition numbered 2,742 bottles.
