Santos Dumont spirits were named in memory of the famous celebrity, style icon and aviation pioneer Alberto Santos Dumont, who was famous at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
It is his portrait that adorns the labels of all Santos Dumont brand products. The Danish company AH Riise, a producer of rum, but also other alcohols, including cocktail seasonings, the so-called bitters, is behind the project.
Santos Dumont XO Super Premium Rum is a spirit produced in Brazil, created from pure cane syrup, the so-called cane honey. It is distilled in column stills and then matured - for an undisclosed period - in a combination of American bourbon, sweet sherry type Pedro Ximenez and port barrels. Offered in limited series, within which each bottle is individually numbered.
