Product description
Scallywag blended malt, made from Speyside whiskies including Macallan, Mortlach and Glenrothes, and bottled without an age statement, debuted in 2013 in the Douglas Laing & Co. range.
Less than four years later, the company came up with a 13-year-old version, also made from Speyside single malts aged exclusively in sherry butts (Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez). The name Scallywag refers to the Laing family’s fox terrier, whose image is used on the label. (The word “Scallywag” refers to someone with unsophisticated manners who is more likely to amuse than to offend.)
