Product description
Finlaggan is the name of a castle built on the Isle of Islay in the 13th century (now in ruins) and is also a brand of single malt whisky from The Vintage Malt Whisky Company's portfolio.
The word "Finlaggan" loosely translated from Gaelic means "island stronghold". The owners of the brand do not reveal which distillery their whisky comes from, only claiming that it is always from the same, "famous distillery from Islay". It is no wonder that Finlaggan is the subject of lively discussions, some see it as Lagavulin, others as Caol Ila, Ardbeg or Laphroaig. The whisky presented here spent the main maturation period in bourbon casks, and finished in sherry casks. It was a proposal from spring 2016, a limited edition of 3 thousand bottles.
