In 2015 Johnnie Walker has launched its largest ever global marketing campaign. It activated simultaneously in more than 50 countries reaching over 270 million consumers around the world.
In recent years the brand expanded significantly with number of new releases being launched. Johnnie Walker Island Green was introduced in the summer of 2016 as Travel Retail exclusive. It is a smoky blended malt with Caol Ila being its main component. The smoky maritime characteristics are balanced with ‘robust fruity Highland malts including Clynelish, lighter Lowland malt represented by Glenkinchie and the characteristically sweet an fragrant Speyside of Cardhu’.
Nose: apples, pears, banana bread, vanilla, toffee, pepper, allspice, touch of oak and delicate smoky notes.
Palate: sweet and spicy, vanilla, butterscotch, honey, baked apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, dash of pepper and distant whiff of smoke.
Finish: medium long, with notes of vanilla, toffee and whispers of smoke.
