Product description
Bottle No. 27 / 71
Glenlochy Distillery was built in the late 19th century in Fort William in the western Highlands. It was a small operation with a single pair of stills producing just under a million litres of distillate per year.
In 1953, Glenlochy became part of DCL and, despite modernisation work carried out by the group in the 1970s, it ceased operations in 1983. Glenlochy editions have always been rare, the one presented here is the company's 2015 Signatory Vintage in the Cask Strength Collection series. The whisky was distilled on 6 November 1980 and spent 35 years in hogshead cask no. 3231. The edition consisted of just 71 bottles of cask strength whisky (48% abv).
