Product description
Tomatin, once the largest malt distillery in Scotland, was taken over by two Japanese companies, Takara Shuzo and Okura & Co. after going bankrupt in 1985.
Over the past decade, the owners have aggressively promoted the brand, which has resulted in a more than 4-fold increase in sales (460,000 bottles). Tomatin 12 years old debuted in 2004, replacing the 10-year-old version. Since March 2016, this whisky has been offered in a new, attractive presentation as Tomatin 12 years old Bourbon & Sherry Casks. The distillates used in its composition were aged in bourbon and sherry casks, while the previous version was finished in sherry casks.
