Product description
We all remember the 2013 release of Macallan M and the excitement it caused. An extraordinary bottling prepared with collaboration of Crystal House Lalique, M was an unquestionable highpoint of the1824 series.
We have a pleasure to introduce its predecessor, 1965 Vintage. The whisky aged for 25 years in ex-sherry casks is presented in elegant crystal decanter produced by Tudor Crystal of Wordsley to an original 18th Century design. The decanter bears exclusive ’18 M 24’ motif engraved with diamond stylus. Quite often Macallan is called a Rolls-Royce among single malts. In 1965 the celebrated car company introduced Silver Shadow, an automobile with graceful body style, as classic as Tudor decanter. 2013 was a year of Rolls-Royce Phantom, a luxury sedan with levels of prestige and magnificence elevated to the maximum, just like Macallan M.
Nose: unbelievable complexity, hazelnuts, roasted chestnuts, dark cherries, dates, bitter orange marmalade, old leather arm chair, honey and tobacco and a whiff of smoke.
Palate: rich and complex with extraordinary balance, with everything we detected on the nose, along with some raisins, dash of nutmeg and pepper, dark chocolate and hints of peat.
Finish: long and incredibly rich with all the elements from the palate contributing.
