A unique edition of Cragganmore. The distillery belongs to Diageo, a world leader in the production of alcoholic beverages.
In 2009, the group's bosses tasked the managers of its 27 malt distilleries with selecting one cask of whisky from their warehouse stock, a cask that best represented the style of the distillery. The Manager's Choice series was born , offering the group's finest whiskies. Cragganmore's manager selected a sherry cask no. 2398 made of European oak and filled in 1997. The edition consisted of 246 bottles. Of course, The Manager's Choice series offers whiskies in the form in which they finished their maturation period.
Nose : fruity-floral with notes of wax and barley malt, oranges, peaches, vanilla, honey, eucalyptus drops, traces of leather, soot and peat smoke.
Taste: powerful and perfectly balanced, honey, vanilla cream, lots of orange, cranberries for meat, black pepper, ginger and perfectly incorporated bitterness of oak.
Finish: long, with strong notes of spices, orange and delicate peat smoke in the background.
