Product description
Henry McKenna Bourbon has been produced at the Heaven Hill distillery since 1976, and was previously part of the portfolio of the Canadian concern Seagram.
It is a Bottled-in-Bond bourbon, meaning it comes from a single distillery season, has been aged for at least four years in government-regulated warehouses, and is bottled at 100 US Proof (50% abv). Henry McKenna shares the formula with several other bourbons in the Heaven Hill portfolio, 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley. Its patron saint is an Irish immigrant who came to America in 1837 and opened his own distillery in 1855. Our bottle comes from barrel #1675, filled on April 23, 2004.
Nose : nicely balanced, vanilla, milk fudge, charred oak, lots of rye tones, caramel, cloves and a hint of licorice.

Finish : long, with quite strong notes of oak, vanilla, caramel, licorice and some dried fruit.
