Product description
Whisky Peat's Beast was launched in August 2011 by Fox Fitzgerald Whisky Trading Company.
The company was founded a year earlier by Eamonn James, previously a manager at Ian Macleod Distillers and Whyte & Mackay. Peat's Beast was the company's first whisky and the premiere edition consisted of 5,000 bottles. The eye-catching label, designed by Doug Alves, a graphic artist born in Brazil, depicting a peat-eating beast, is undoubtedly eye-catching. Peat's Beast is a young single malt from an undisclosed distillery, bottled at 46% ABV and without chill filtration. Definitely worth recommending to all lovers of smoky and peaty whiskies.
Aroma : lots of smoke, ash and tar, sea breeze, beach sand washed by the ocean wave, wet grass, apples, pears, lemon peel and a pinch of cinnamon.
Palate: Peat smoke and salt air, iodine, seaweed salad, barbecue sauce, pepper, licorice, apples, bananas and a little oak.
Finish: quite long, smoke and ash, pepper, dark chocolate and a hint of salty breeze.
