Glenlivet 10-year-old Prime Minister's Reserve / 40% / 0.75l
- Scotch single malt whisky is usually a drink of choice for British politicians and nobilities. We know about Prince Charles’ feeling for Laphroaig and Sean Connery’s, retired agent 007, love for Macallan.
Product description
Single malt whisky is almost “by default” the favorite drink of politicians and representatives of British high society. It is common knowledge how close Prince Charles is to Laphroaig, or to retired agent 007, Sean Connery, Macallan.
Margaret Thatcher made no secret of her weakness for Glenlivet, which the distillery celebrated with a Prime Minister's Reserve edition specially created for her. Margaret Thatcher was the longest-serving British Prime Minister in the 20th century. She held the position from 1979-1990, during which time Glenlivet Prime Minister's Reserve was delivered to Downing Street. The label describes this whisky as 10 years old, of course the term refers to the youngest ingredient, how old the oldest is remains a mystery. Prime Minister's Reserve was bottled in strictly limited batches and now, over a quarter of a century after the Prime Minister left office, it remains one of the most collectible Glenlivets.
