Today, Glenfiddich is Scotland's largest malt distillery and the first single malt to reach the million-case mark (12 million bottles in 2011). The 12-year-old version, described by the producer as Our Signature Malt, won gold medals at both the International Spirit Challenge and the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2014.
Nose : fresh, fruity and grassy, pears, green grapes, malt, vanilla, honey, a hint of citrus and traces of oak.
Taste: sweet, fruity, apples, pears, milk fudge, sweet cereals, a pinch of spice and a light bitterness of oak.
Finish: medium long, mild, some fruit, malt, oak and a slight spicy note.
