The owners of Auchentoshan have been increasingly active in the Travel Retail segment in recent years . Travelers are tempted by editions that are not available in general sale, often limited.
Most are inspired by oak, a tree that is both majestic and strong. Noble Oak fits this image perfectly. It is a limited edition made from selected distillates from barrels filled in 1990, bottled in cask strength (50.3% abv) and without chill filtration. It debuted in 2015.
Nose : rich and deep, vanilla, caramel, ripe apples and pears, grapes, grapefruit, a bit of pepper and ginger, walnuts and oak.
Taste: complex, vanilla, toffee, honey-roasted nuts, grapefruit, orange peel, banana cake, ginger, nutmeg, a trace of cinnamon and a hint of oak in the background.
Finish : long, oaky-spicy, ginger, pepper with notes of vanilla and citrus.
