Product description
It's hard to believe, but it's been 20 years since the debut of Balvenie Port Wood 21 years old.
This whisky, one of the countless creations of Dave Stewart, Scotland's longest-serving master distiller, was created in 1995 and was added to the permanent offer a year later. The final maturation period spent in 30-year-old pipe port barrels takes the whisky to another dimension, enriching its palette with fruit and wine elements. The result is an excellent after-dinner drink, perfect for serving with a cup of espresso and a good cigar.
Aroma: very elegant, a wonderful combination of nuts with notes of ripe fruit, toffee, raisins and marzipan.
Taste: very complex, creamy, fruity, toffee, honey, passion fruit, chocolate-coated raisins, a trace of anise, spicy and wine notes.
Finish: long and delicate, slightly dry, nuts, toffee, oak, trace of cinnamon.
