Silver Seal may not be the most well-known independent whisky distributor, but it is highly regarded among connoisseurs and collectors.
The company is considered (unofficially) to be the heir to the legendary Sestante, an Italian distributor that went out of business in the 1990s. Silver Seal has produced a number of extraordinary whiskies in the last decade, and the mastery of its cask selectors is legendary. The Glenlivet 35-year-old presented here comes from a sherry hogshead cask refilled in 1979, and is part of the Whisky is Art series . 178 bottles were released.

Finish: medium long, spicy, oak bitterness and light herbal notes.
