Product description
Jack Daniel’s has been the best selling American whiskey since the Americans started making whiskey, with current annual sales north of 12.5 million cases.
It is also the most collectable one with thousands (if not millions) of collectors following each limited release. Until 1895 Jack Daniel’s whiskey was sold in barrels, kegs and jugs and both Jack Daniel and Lem Motlow were talking about bottling it. Many bottle designs were presented to them but neither appealed to Jack’s taste. At one occasion the bottle salesman brought a square glass bottle, which did not find Lem’s approval but Jack loved it. It was so different from bottles used those days that truly stood out. Jack knew how unique his whiskey was and characteristic bottle gave it an extra distinction. The original bottle from 1895 featured an embossment: “Old Time Distillery No 7 Jack Daniel Distiller Lynchburg, Tenn.” In 1992 the distillery issued an exact replica, another highly collectable release of Jack Daniel’s.
