Rémy Martin XO Anish Kapoor Carafe is a limited-edition release of one of Maison Rémy Martin’s most recognizable cognacs, created in collaboration with world-renowned contemporary artist Anish Kapoor.This is a fusion of the cognac house’s more than 300-year-old heritage with art, in which light, form, and the way the decanter is presented have become just as important as its contents.
Kapoor reinterpreted the iconic XO decanter, giving it a minimalist, more fluid form with a concave center , which highlights the cognac’s amber hues.The glass body, neck, and stopper have also been redesigned to create a collector's edition that changes its visual appearance depending on the light.
Rémy Martin XO itself is a rich blend of eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne.The aroma features ripe plums, dried figs, candied orange, and passion fruit , accompanied by honey and subtle floral notes of jasmine.
On the palate, it is full-bodied, velvety, and complex.Ripe fruit and candied citrus give way to nutmeg and freshly cracked hazelnuts, followed by the more dessert-like notes of roasted cocoa, honey, and gingerbread.The long finish highlights the opulent and elegant character of the blend.
