Winery.Pichler operates in the Wachau region of Austria and has been in the hands of the Pichler family for five generations.Franz Xaver took over the farm in 1971, and today it comprises about 20 hectares of vineyards.The producer specializes exclusively in white wines, primarily Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, which are renowned for their purity, concentration, and longevity.The vineyards are located both on rocky terraces and on alluvial soils in the Danube Valley, resulting in a variety of styles and expressions of terroir.

The Ried Klostersatz vineyard in Loiben is planted on gravelly-sandy soils, which ensure excellent drainage and give the wines their mineral character.The 2024 vintage was challenging due to a delayed harvest and rains in September, which required multiple selections of the grapes; it was also the first official year of organic production.Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, which helps preserve the wine’s freshness and clearly reflect the terroir.
Appearance: light yellow color with greenish highlights.
Aroma: notes of apricot, yellow apples, fresh herbs, and white pepper, with a subtle mineral touch.
Taste: juicy, with lively acidity, well-balanced between fruitiness, minerality, and subtle spiciness.
