His position seems unchallenged, as the second on the list, Evan William, can boast a result of "only" 2.4 million cases. Jim Beam is distilled from a mash of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley and aged in barrels with the fourth, highest degree of roasting. The most popular version is the 4-year-old White Label presented here. Jim Beam has two distilleries in Kentucky, in Clermont and Boston, and the combined warehouse stock exceeds 1.2 million barrels. Currently, Jim Beam Distillers is part of the Beam Suntory concern, the third largest producer of alcoholic beverages in the world.
Nose : classic bourbon aromas, caramel, vanilla, buttered corn, licorice, cinnamon, a hint of fresh herbs and charred oak.
Taste : consistent with the aroma, caramel, vanilla, toffee, cornflakes, marasca cherries, traces of fennel and pepper and burnt oak.
Finish: medium long, with notes of vanilla, caramel, honey, roasted peanuts, a pinch of pepper and oak.
