Mackmyra Moment is a series of whiskies blended from the finest casks, personally selected by the company's master blender, Angela D'Orazio.
The barrels rest in the abandoned Bodås mine (converted into a warehouse) at a depth of up to 50 meters. Brukswhisky debuted in 2010 and remains an important part of the core offering. It is a blend of unpeated spirits aged in first-fill bourbon barrels, fresh Swedish oak barrels and first-fill sherry barrels, and a peated spirit aged in first-fill bourbon barrels. Moment DLX II is the second version of the super-premium Brukswhisky (the components matured for 9 to 11 years), released in 2021 in a limited edition of 1,999 bottles.
Nose: slightly smoky, vanilla, honey, sweet bread, pears, apples, lemon and orange peel, herbal blend, roasted peanuts and oak.
Palate: vanilla, caramel, honey, pears, plums, red apples, raisins, dried herbs, cinnamon, allspice, oak and a light smoke in the background
Finish: medium long, with notes of vanilla, caramel, ripe summer fruits, cinnamon, white pepper, tobacco, peat and oak.
