Product description
Blanton’s, the first single barrel bourbon, was introduced in 1984 by Ancient Age Distillery (currently Buffalo Trace Distillery).
It is named after Albert B. Blanton, who worked at the distillery from 1897 to 1953. Upon his retirement the distillery was renamed Albert B. Blanton Distillery and operated under his name until 1969. The single barrel edition is credited to Albert B. Blanton who occasionally selected a barrel of whiskey, always from warehouse H, which was later served to his guests. Straight from the Barrel version was introduced in the early 2000s and is offered in selected international markets and Travel Retail outlets. Here is whiskey from cask # 401, aged in warehouse H on rick no. 30 and bottled at 63.3% abv on February 7, 2022.
