Product description
The Cooper's Choice is a range of single malt and single grain whiskies from the portfolio of The Vintage Malt Whisky Company, founded in 1992 by Brian Crook.
The Cooper's Choice debuted a year later and pays tribute to the coopers, whose role in Scotch whisky is often underestimated. The Skara Brae 15 year old presented here is the 2022 "cooper's choice". This time the company does not reveal the distillery, only its location - Orkney. Distilled in October 2007, the whisky was aged in a No. 9 bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength (54.5% abv) and without chill filtration in 2022, in an edition of 360 bottles. Skara Brae is a Neolithic stone settlement located on Skaill Bay on the western side of Orkney's largest island, Mainland.
