Product description
The Maker's Mark bourbon formula was developed by Bill Samuels Sr. with assistance from Julian "Pappy" Van Winkle and Ernest Ripa (Wild Turkey).
After countless experiments, the choice fell on 70% corn, 16% winter wheat and 14% malted barley. Maker's Mark debuted in 1958 and remained unknown until an article in the Wall Street Journal in August 1980. Today, Maker's is one of the iconic bourbon brands with annual sales of 1.5 million cases. The Cask Strength edition hit the market in 2014, offered in 0.375l bottles, initially only in the distillery's store, later in selected states. It is one of the few offers of wheat bourbon in a cask strength version.
