Product description
Gran Duque D'Alba Oro is a super-premium brandy produced in limited releases by the Williams & Humbert bodega.
The company was founded in 1877 by Alexander Williams, a sherry connoisseur and advocate, and Arthur Humbert, an international relations expert. Today, the company owns over 1,200 acres of vineyards in Jerez and the largest bodega in Europe, housing 60,000 barrels of sherry and brandy. Gran Duque D'Alba debuted in 1945, named after the Grand Duke of Alba, Fernando Alvarez de Toledo y Pimentel. This Oro version is aged for at least 25 years in barrels that have been used since the late 19th century to mature Palo Cortado sherry. Maturation takes place in the solera system. Our bottle comes from a batch released in 2019.
