Product description
Glen Scotia is one of only three distilleries working today in Campbeltown, the smallest producing district for Scotch whisky.
The distillery experienced many production disruptions in the 20th century, and the condition of the buildings and equipment left much to be desired. In the new century, the distillery has a third owner, Hillside Management from Hong Kong, although under the previous owner, Exponent Group (2014-2019), it experienced significant modernizations. Glen Scotia 15 years old debuted in 2015. It is blended from distillates aged in bourbon barrels, mainly first fill, and bottled at 46% abv without chill filtration. The edition presented here is from 2022, the year the distillery introduced new labels. A year earlier, Glen Scotia 15 years old won a gold medal at the World Spirit Competition in San Francisco.
