Product description
Glen Scotia Distillery is located in the centre of Campbeltown, a town and Scotland's smallest whisky producing region. It is now made up of just three distilleries, the other two being Springbank and Glengyle.
Since 2019, the distillery has been owned by Hong Kong-based Hillhouse Capital Management, which has quickly made its sales offer more attractive. In 2020, the company launched the “Seasonal Release” series with the Sherry Double Cask Finish. It was an 11-year-old whisky aged in ex-bourbon casks, finished in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The 2022 offering presented here is a whisky aged for 11 years in ex-bourbon casks and finished for one year in Amontillado sherry casks. The whisky was bottled at 53.3% abv and without chill filtration.
