Glenmorangie Lasanta 12-year-old, Bourbon & Sherry Casks / 43% / 0.7l

In summer 2022, Glenmorangie Distillery unveiled new bottles and new labels for its core whiskies.

They are characterized by a high intensity of color, which definitely catches the eye of a potential buyer. For the 12-year-old Lasanta, a red color was chosen, reflecting the combination of sweetness and spiciness characteristic of this whisky. We were assured that the whisky formula does not change. Lasanta is composed of distillates aged in bourbon barrels for 10 years, then finished for another two in sherry barrels (Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez). This whisky debuted in 2007, replacing Glenmorangie Sherry Wood Finish. With annual sales of about 6.5 million bottles, Glenmorangie ranks fourth in the ranking of the most popular single malts in the world.

Aroma : creamy, vanilla, milk chocolate, raisins, plums, roasted nuts, buttery croissant, notes of cinnamon and ginger and oak soaked in sherry.

Palate : vanilla, brown sugar, raisins, raspberry bun, wild berries, orange peel, hazelnuts, cinnamon, cloves, hints of leather and oak.

Finish: quite long, with hints of vanilla, praline, orange peel, hazelnuts, chocolate, cinnamon and oak.
