Product description
Ardbeg Traigh Bhan debuted in 2019 as a permanent and oldest entry in the core range.
The 19-year-old whisky is named after the famous beach on Islay known locally as the Singing Sands. Each year’s release of Traigh Bhan has its own codes and symbols and is signed by one of the distillery’s employees. This fourth release is signed by distillery manager Colin Gordon. Each release features a different selection of casks, with Batch #4 using more sherry casks than the previous three. Ardbeg Whisky Creator Dr Bill Lumsden describes it as “a whisky with an unusual balance of campfire smoke, menthol and aniseed.”
Nose : smoke and sea breeze, pine needles, mint leaf, fennel, eucalyptus drops, vanilla, brown sugar, hazelnuts, cocoa powder, sherry-soaked oak and a hint of damp wool.
Palate : campfire smoke, dark chocolate, black coffee, peanut butter, raisins, grapefruit, blood oranges, hazelnuts, white pepper, anise, menthol, cloves, lemongrass and oak.
Finish : medium long, sweet and smoky, with notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, citrus, mint, oak and sherry.
