Product description
Bellevoye is a French blended malt whisky (the producer calls it a "triple malt") from the Les Bienheureux portfolio.
Founded in 2013 by Jean Moueix and Alexandre Sirech, the Cognac-based blender is a blender (they don’t distill themselves). Their first product was rum, but their life’s mission is to create a luxurious blended whisky made exclusively from French ingredients. Bellevoye Bleu (or Blue Label) is a blend of three French single malts from three different regions, aged for three to eight years in French oak barrels, then finished in virgin French oak barrels for another nine to twelve months. The final maturation takes place in Les Bienheureux warehouses in Charente. The name “Bellevoye” means a road rarely traveled.
Aroma : honey, vanilla cream, graham crackers, apples, lemons, bananas, bouquet of wild flowers, freshly cut grass and mint leaf.
Palate: brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, apples, grapes, cinnamon, cloves, a dash of nutmeg and pepper and lots of oak.
Finish: not too long, with notes of vanilla, apples, white pepper, cinnamon, cloves and oak.
