Product description
Glen Garioch is a small distillery based in Old Meldrum in the Highlands.
It began operating in 1797 and, equipped with three stills (although only two are used), produces a whisky that could be considered a hallmark of the Highlands. Glen Garioch is owned by Morrison Bowmore Distilleries, which has been part of the Japanese conglomerate Suntory since 1994. The Glen Garioch presented here, distilled on November 12, 2012, spent over eight years in three ex-bourbon barrels (nos. 4233, 4243 and 4244), was bottled by Signatory Vintage in the Very Cloudy series on June 17, 2021 for Parisian distributor La Maison du Whisky. The “Very Cloudy” series is offered without chill filtration, which means that after adding a few drops of water, the whisky can take on a slightly cloudy appearance.
