Product description
John Distilleries Ltd has been producing blended whisky since 1992 and malt whisky since 2008.
The company is currently owned by Paul John (57%) and Sazerac Company of New Orleans (43%). While the blends do not meet the European Union standards reserved for whiskey (they are blended on the basis of sugar molasses), the single malts that came to the old continent in 2012 have gained a lot of supporters. They are distilled from six-row barley grown in the foothills of the Himalayas and partially aged in an underground, air-conditioned warehouse. The single cask edition presented here is a whiskey distilled in October 2016, aged in bourbon barrel no. 7491 and bottled at cask strength (58.4% abv) for the Polish importer, M&P in the "Cask Collection Club" series in July 2021. 216 bottles went on sale.
