Product description
Gordon & MacPhail was founded in 1895 and is now perhaps the most recognisable independent whisky company.
It has thousands of barrels in its warehouses and until April 2018, its whisky was released in 14 series. "Secret Stills" was intended for single malts, whose producers did not allow the use of the distillery's name for various reasons. On the surface, these editions were surrounded by a haze of mystery, but the gentlemen from Gordon & MacPhail did everything to make the consumer guess the place of origin of the drink. The mysterious whisky presented here was distilled in May 1955 in Carbost on the Isle of Skye (can you point to Talisker more clearly?), and after half a century of maturation in a sherry cask type butt no. 1312, bottled at 45% abv in October 2005.
