The Ultimate Whisky Company is a Dutch company based in Amersfoort.

Founded in 1994 by Han and Maurice van Wees, the company initially specialised in miniature editions. Their whiskies are bottled without chill filtration, either in cask strength or at 46% ABV. Since 1994, well over 1,000 editions have been released under the “The Ultimate” banner. The Teaninich presented here is a whisky distilled on 9 October 2008 and aged in an American oak hogshead cask (no. 715729) for over 12 years. Bottled at 46% ABV on 9 September 2021 in an edition of 370 bottles.

Aroma : floral, freshly cut grass, bouquet of wild flowers, barley malt, yeast cake, lemons, limes, vanilla, traces of damp gravel and oak.

Palate: fresh, breakfast cereals, vanilla, caramel, candied nuts, apples, baked plantains, lemon jam, white pepper and lemongrass.

Finish : medium long, with notes of vanilla, caramel, lemon peel, herbs, white pepper and oak.
