Product description
The Ardmore Distillery was built in 1898 by William Teacher & Sons for the sole purpose of producing malt distillate for use in their family blends.
In 2005, the distillery became the property of Jim Beam Global, and is now owned by Beam Suntory. Throughout the 20th century, Ardmore was one of the less frequently offered single malts, but between 2015 and 2020, its sales increased by a significant 275% and exceeded the threshold of 700,000 bottles. The whisky presented here, distilled in September 2003, spent 17 years in bourbon barrel no. 801285. Bottled in 2021 at 48.5% abv and without chill filtration by The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. in the popular The Cooper's Choice series in an edition of 306 bottles.
