The Cooper's Choice debuted a year later and pays tribute to the coopers, whose role in Scotch whisky is often underestimated. Auchroisk Distillery is based in Speyside and was founded in 1974. Owned by Diageo, it produces almost 6 million litres of distillate per year from four pairs of stills.
