Product description
Campbeltown, the smallest Scotch whisky producing district, is located on the Kintyre Peninsula. In the late 19th century, there were 34 distilleries and over 20 malthouses operating there, and the place was a contender for the title of "whiskypolis".
Those days are long gone and today we find only three distilleries in Campbeltown (Springbank, Glengyle and Glen Scotia) which together produce less than a million litres of spirit per year. This Campbeltown blended malt (or as the producer calls it a ‘teaspooned malt’) is a whisky distilled in April 2014 and aged in American oak before being finished in a Sauternes cask no. 127. Bottled in 2021 by The Vintage Malt Whisky Company as part of The Cooper’s Choice series in an edition of 378 bottles.
