Product description
The Strathmill Distillery began operating in 1891, and its single malt was exported in 1909.
Strathmill has been a key ingredient in J&B since the early 1960s, and we had to wait until the end of the century for the next official release of a single malt. Today, the distillery belongs to Diageo and, working seven days a week, produces over 2.5 million liters of distillate, the vast majority of which goes to the J&B brand. Strathmill is rarely featured in independent publishers, which is why the edition presented here, "The Cooper's Choice," deserves special attention. The whisky, distilled in March 2010 after undergoing basic maturation in American oak barrels, was placed in a Sauternes barrel (no. 8017063), and bottled at cask strength (55.5% abv) in 2021, in an edition of 306 bottles.
