Product description
Filliers Distillery was founded in 1880 by Karel Lodevijk Filliers and initially produced jenever.
Its headquarters is in the village of Bachte-Maria-Leerne, near Ghent in East Flanders. In 2006, the distillery underwent a major modernization and, equipped with both a pot still and a still, produces whisky, jenever and gin. While the local Goldlys whisky is distilled from a mash of wheat, rye, corn and malted barley, Filliers is a classic single malt. It is aged exclusively in sherry casks (European oak) for at least 10 years and bottled at 43% abv.
