Founded in 1920 in Medellin, the La Fabrica de Licores y Alcoholes de Antioquia alcohol factory was already producing over 6,000 bottles of alcohol per day in 1936.
In 1946, the production of a completely Colombian rum, which was named Ron Medellin, was launched. The plant in which it is currently produced was built and launched in 1968.
Ron Medellin Gran Reserva is one of the few rums that matures at an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level to ensure optimal maturation conditions. It is blended from distillates that have spent 8 to 12 years in American bourbon oak barrels.
Aroma : Vanilla, herbal and spicy notes. Oak, fruit and almonds.
Taste : Sweet and expressive, with notes of vanilla, spices and oak.
Finish : Long, warming.
