Product description
Bourbon Maker's Mark is a 1950s creation by Bill Samuels Sr., with contributions from Julian "Pappy" Van Winkle and Ernest Ripy.
After countless experiments, a formula containing 70% corn, 16% winter wheat and 14% barley malt was chosen. Maker's Mark debuted in 1958 and remained unknown until an article in the Wall Street Journal in August 1980. Today, it is one of the iconic bourbons with annual sales of over 29 million bottles (2019). Several, if not a dozen times a year, Maker's Mark offers occasional editions of its bourbon commemorating sporting events (the company sponsors, among others, horse racing in Kentucky) or holidays. The whiskey presented here fills a beautiful bottle decorated with a snowflake and was released in 2019 in the run-up to Christmas.
