Product description
Benrinnes Distillery was founded in 1826 by Peter McKenzie.
The plant is located in Speyside, in the immediate vicinity of the Aberlour and GlenAllachie distilleries, and currently belongs to the Diageo group. Benrinnes is equipped with 6 stills, which work in an unusual configuration - two so-called wash stills carry out the first distillation and feed four so-called spirit stills responsible for the second distillation. Until recently, the stills worked in a traditional 3-3 configuration, and some of the spirit was distilled three times. The whisky presented here, distilled in March 2005, spent 14 years in a refilled bourbon cask no. HL 16553 and in May 2019 was included in the "Old Malt Cask" series.
