Le Tribute Gin (Spain) / 43% / 0.7l

Gin Le Tribute is another creation of Manuel and Marc Giró, grandsons of Manuel Giró Sr., who in the 1940s developed the formula for MG gin, one of the sales leaders in this category in Spain.

Le Tribute debuted in 2015, eight years after the hugely successful debut of Gin Mare, released in partnership with Global Premium Brands. The gin is produced by Destilerias MG (Miguel Guansé) in Vilanova, in a distillery built in 1835 by the Giró family. Its formula is more than unique, consisting of seven distillates that are blended to create the final product. The first distillation includes juniper, the second lime, the third kumquat, the fourth lemon and pink and green grapefruit, the fifth tangerine, the sixth cardamom, lemon and bitter and sweet oranges, and finally the seventh lemongrass. The last is the only water distillation (to maintain freshness), the others are done with wheat spirit. The finished blend is diluted before bottling to 43% abv.

Le Tribute is a gin in which oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, lemons and limes play a "citrus symphony" with a shy accompaniment of lemongrass and pine needles. It tastes great with just an ice cube or Fever Tree Indian Tonic Water, we also highly recommend it in a Dry Martini with olive and orange peel.
