Product description
Stroh Rum Jagertee is a traditional Austrian alcoholic drink, combining the power of rum with the aromas of black tea, herbs and spices. Made from high-quality Stroh rum, black tea extracts and a mixture of herbs and spices such as vanilla, anise, cinnamon, as well as caramelized sugar, produced from sugar cane molasses. The recipe dates back to 1832, when Sebastian Stroh created the first liqueur in Austria. The Jagertee version was created in 1864 as a hunting drink, German Jagertee - "hunter's tea". It is a universal drink both in winter and summer. In winter, we can dilute it with hot water or add it to tea and coffee, and in summer it is served with ice, orange or lemon juice, often with the addition of citrus slices and mint.
The history of the Stroh brand began in 1832, when Sebastian Stroh began distilling his first liqueurs, giving rise to the tradition of Austrian Inländer – a name reserved exclusively for Austrian rums. This tradition dates back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, where this rum became popular. In 1857, Stroh began producing liqueurs and brandies on a larger scale in Klagenfurt. The Stroh brand became recognizable not only in Austria, but also in Germany, especially in the 1980s and 1990s, thanks to its successful expansion into the German-speaking market.
