In late spring of 2018 Inver House Distillers introduced new range of Old Pulteney single malts. The year before they discontinued 17 and 21 years old expressions due to stock shortages.
The new core range featuring 12, 15, 18 year olds and the NAS expression Huddart. The latter takes its name from the street, on which the Pulteney distillery is located in the town of Wick. The street itself was named after Captain Joseph Huddart, a hydrographer who worked for the British Fisheries Society, which built Pulteneytown and its harbor. Old Pulteney Huddart comprises whisky aged in first and second fill ex-Bourbon casks and finished in casks previously used for maturation of heavily peated whisky.
